Management Accountant

Description Our client in the automotive component manufacturing industry, based in Port Elizabeth, is currently looking to employ an experienced Management Accountant.An exciting career opportunity awaits you!
Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.Professional accounting qualification advantageous (CA).Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a management accounting role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.Good understanding of Standard Costing and able to perform Inventory variance and margin analysis.Experience in dealing with capital expenditure projects and maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register.Experience with IFRS, US GAAP and Tax requirements.Experience in financial planning and analysis in a manufacturing or distribution environment.Excellent communication skills, with ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
Responsibilities, but not limited to:Ensure accurate financial recording in compliance with US GAAP.Assist in directing all accounting operations and preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement and cost reduction in manufacturing operations.Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions on production planning, inventory management, and supply chain optimization.Control standard and actual costing of stock, inventory variance, and margin analysis.Monthly review of capital expenditure and maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register.Monthly review of debtors age analysis and ensure timely customer payments.Assisting with the preparation of monthly forecasts and generate strategic financial information.Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets and assist other departments with the compilation of their budgets.
