Educational requirementsNational Senior Certificate - Grade 12 (essential)Qualified Artisan/Millwright Certification (essential for this role)Trade CertificateExperience requirementsDairy experience is advantageousManufacturing experience required of at least 2 yearsKey performance areasEquipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on production machinery, conveyors, pumps and other mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.Electrical Maintenance: Inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical components of machinery and equipment, including motors, sensors, and control systems.Installation and Setup: Assemble, install, and align new machinery and equipment as requires for cheese production processes. This may include working with conveyors, packaging machinery, and more.Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implementing solution to minimize disruptions.Preventive Maintenance: Develop and execute a preventive maintenance schedule for both mechanical and electrical components are in excellent working condition to maintain production efficiency.Spare Parts Management: Maintain and manage critical spare parts inventory for both mechanical and electrical components, ensuring that essential components are readily available for maintenance and repairs. Monitor stock levels, order replacements, and organize spare parts for quick access.Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to safety protocols and procedures, promoting a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues at all times.Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including equipment history, work orders, and spare parts inventory.
