Maintenance SupervisorA leading FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) manufacturer rooted in South Africa, specializing in housewares and hardware has an urgent vacancy for a Maintenance Supervisor.
This pivotal role involves enhancing production and manufacturing plant efficiencies to maintain seamless production processes.Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:Completed Matric CertificateNon-trade tested N2 certification, in either fitter or fitter and turnerMinimum of 3-5 years practical experience in machine changeovers, setups, programming, and minor fault finding within the FMCG environmentMust be available to work full shifts, including morning, afternoon, and night shifts, or adapt to future shift patterns as requiredKey Performance Areas:Reduce machine downtime and enhance machine performance, including fault finding and machine servicingComplete job cards and execute assigned scheduled maintenance tasksMaintenance support, including assisting fitters and overseeing repairsNew equipment procurement, installation, and commissioningPropose changes to planned maintenance work and inspections as necessaryPerform changeovers for tooling and machinery, including quick changeover initiatives (SMED) for efficient production transitionsMaintain optimal availability of maintenance spares to support uninterrupted productionConduct regular housekeeping checks on machines and workshopStrictly adhere to workplace safety and quality procedures, including ISO9001 and NOSAPackage & RemunerationThe compensation package is negotiable and will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications, skills, and relevant working experience.
