Maintenance Planner - Aluminium Extrusion Plant

We are seeking an organised and proactive Maintenance Planner to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for the effective planning and scheduling of maintenance activities to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
You will coordinate closely with maintenance technicians, production teams, and external vendors to ensure the availability of resources, tools, and materials.
Key Responsibilities Planning & Scheduling: Develop and maintain a comprehensive preventive maintenance schedule for machinery and equipment in the aluminium extrusion plant.Coordination: Collaborate with production supervisors, technicians, and vendors to align maintenance activities with production needs and minimize operational disruptions.Work Orders: Create, issue, and track maintenance work orders to ensure timely completion.Inventory Management: Manage and monitor spare parts inventory to ensure availability without overstocking.Vendor Management: Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs and services, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and performance metrics for continuous improvement.Compliance: Ensure maintenance activities adhere to safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.Budgeting & Cost Control: Assist in budgeting for maintenance operations and monitor costs to ensure efficient resource utilization.Reporting: Provide regular reports to management on maintenance performance, downtime, and improvement opportunities.Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and improve overall plant performance. Skills and Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field (preferred).
Experience: 3-5 years of experience as a Maintenance Planner in a manufacturing or heavy industry environment, preferably in aluminium extrusion or metal processing.
Technical Knowledge: -Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) software.
-Understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance techniques.
-Knowledge of industrial safety practices and regulatory compliance.

-Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

-Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
