Overview:The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall maintenance of the buildings and catering equipment, across various sites in East London (with some travel to sites in Eastern Cape).
The position reports to the Property Development Manager.
and will include staff management.
Minimum Requirements:Grade 12Relevant electrical post-school qualificationQualified Electrician (Trade Tested) essentialWireman's License (highly advantageous)Experience in a similar role essentialValid Driver's license essential Responsibilities:Work on medium to high-level maintenance jobs: refrigeration, air conditioning, electrical, equipment repairs etcEnsure that all maintenance items, equipment, fittings and fixtures are maintained with the highest standards and kitchen equipment is safe for usNegotiating quotations and obtaining optimal prices for repairs, spares, and labour where necessaryTracking maintenance tickets, and expenses thereof and ensuring that all are in line and within budgetReporting progress on all maintenance and project tasks to the reporting leadReceiving, planning (age analysis), executing maintenance on equipment and assets and following up on all maintenance tasks identified by internal and external auditsAssigning schedules, delegating and deploying internal maintenance team and external contracted suppliersManage preventative maintenance schedule in accordance with company and franchisor schedulesManage servicing and certification of all kitchen equipment within companies' expectations, operational requirements, franchisor requirements and external proceduresAssist reporting manager on remodels and new builds on behalf of the company, ensuring project timelines and quality are delivered when requiredAdministration duty – maintenance ticket processing, ordering of smallware items, spares and equipment and negotiating with suppliers for best priceCo-ordinate deliveries of all maintenance items timeously and confirm receipt of orders Competencies:Health and Safety understandingCompliance of SANS and franchise regulations for equipment
