Maintenance Manager (Jsmm)

A client in Durban is seeking a Maintenance Manager with a GCC Certificate to be appointed as a GMR (2)1, to join their team. Responsibilities include managing the Maintenance Department and external contractors, overseeing operational plans, and ensuring compliance with Health and Safety Standards.ResponsibilitiesManaging the Maintenance Department (a team of Artisans) and the work done by external contractorsManaging the Operational Plan of the departmentEnsure that all organizational infrastructure, plant machinery and equipment is maintained in line with both quality and Health and Safety StandardsManaging and reporting on the Operational and CAPEX budgetManagement and Financial ReportingHealth and Safety Compliance of facilities and equipmentOverseeing projects from implementation to completion from Operational / Maintenance PlanFulfilling the role of the Competent Person as per the General Machinery RegulationsQualificationsA Graduated Engineer with a relevant Engineering Qualification (electrical or mechanical) with a Certificate of Competency (GCC)A minimum of five (5) years Managerial experienceAppointed as GMR (2)1CriteriaBe able to:Evaluate and align performance with the organization objectives and take corrective actions.Influence and mobilize a team towards achievement of objectives, planning, leading, organizing and controlling work effectively.Formulate appropriate medium and long-term future solutions to all Maintenance and Infrastructure related matters.
