DescriptionJob Summary: Seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance operations, ensure efficient and safe equipment operation, and lead a team of artisans in a production environment.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Grade 12Strong mechanical, electrical, and maintenance knowledge and experienceRelevant Trade qualification is essentialMinimum 5 years as a qualified artisan in a production environment, with electrical experience suited to a production environmentBasic knowledge of plumbing, refrigeration, boiler making, rigging, etc.Experience working in the Agricultural Packhouse industry will be advantageousKEY COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:Good communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to be a team leader and playerExcellent troubleshooting skills and ability to take initiativeStrong time management, planning, and preparation abilityGood attention to detailAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlinesProven MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.)Proven skills in electrical planning, wiring, fault finding, and maintenance of motors, drives, gearboxes, conveyors, etc.KEY ACCOUNTABILITY AREAS:Operations: Supervise, coordinate, and plan preventative maintenance schedules on equipment, machinery, and buildings. Organizing and coordinating the material and human resources required to complete jobs. Assist with the installation of new equipment and seamless integration of new systems. Participate in establishing work schedules. Ensure that the schedules are correctly executed. Ensure forklifts (fleet) maintenance, repairs, and services.Communication and Reporting: Identify and address potential issues before escalation by keeping open lines of communication with all departments. Establish feedback loops to continuously improve communication and processes.Management: Develop and implement a proactive/preventative maintenance strategy. Planning, managing, and controlling the maintenance budgets. Manage and oversee workshop and spare parts area. Managing and planning a digital maintenance system (CMMS).Compliance: Ensure all compliance-related maintenance tasks, including certification, services, and repairs, are completed as required. Adherence to policies and regulations.Health and Safety: Ensure the efficient and safe operation of all materials and handling equipment. Ensure safety protocols are followed and implemented.
