Maintenance Fitter

MAINTENANCE FITTER (Contract) Overview: Well-established industrial manufacturing company based in Benoni urgently requires a Maintenance Fitter. Duties: Fits and assembles metal parts and sub-assemblies to fabricate, maintain and repair production machines and other equipment o Fitting, installing, examining, servicing and repairing machinery and mechanical equipment o Inspecting and testing new machinery and mechanical equipment for conformity with standards and specifications o Examining parts for defects such as breakage and excessive wear o Oiling and greasing stationary machinery and equipment o Operating newly repaired machinery and equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs o Recording repairs and maintenance performed o Must be able to read drawings and blueprints. o General maintenance of plant, machinery, workshop, stores, and tools equipment. o General housekeeping of all designated areas o Adherence to all legislated rules and regulations, as well as company and operational policies and procedures applicable to the position. Requirements: Trade Test Qualified Fitter Minimum 5 Years experience in similar position Medical clearance to operate machinery. Own vehicle and valid drivers license Being able to weld could be advantageous Remuneration: R100/h
