A national supplier of quality FMCG products to various markets, is looking for a thorough and committed individual to assume the position of Maintenance Electrician for its Broiler operations within the Agricultural division.
The Maintenance Electrician will be an innovative, pro-active and results orientated individual, that will strive to support the production units in their pursuit of world class results.
The ideal candidate must be in possession of a N4 Certification in Electrical Trade and a minimum of 3 years' post trade experience in electrical / mechanical installations, as well as experience in PLC and environmental controllers.
The incumbent must have a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle due to standby and overtime duties.
An understanding of SKOV climate controllers and production control units or poultry farming and farming equipment will be advantageous.
ResponsibilitiesEnsure that all work conforms to the SANS 10142 standards and the Sovereign Foods Maintenance standard operating proceduresEnsure that all assets are well maintained and kept in perfect operating conditions at all timesComplete the weekly maintenance schedules and job cards within the designated timeframesEnsure that safe working procedures are adhered to at all timesAchieve 95% quality, 100% legal compliance and 100% BRC compliance ratingsContribute to the creation of "Perfect Growing Conditions" through excellent preventative and corrective maintenance on all Company assets.Ensuring control of stock of the facilities.Work towards drafting and implementing preventative maintenance plans with scheduled repairs.Ensure health and safety standards support NOSA 5-star accreditation.
