PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To safely carry out preventative maintenance and repairs to the plant in line with documented work.

BUSINESS PROCESSES
Ensure adherence to health and safety, environment, quality and housekeeping in section.
Apply fault finding techniques, conduct root cause failure analysis and regular plan inspections.
Maintain and repair mechanical parts, components and equipment as well as low and high level electrical equipment.
Comply with relevant standards, ensure that electrical installations comply with statutory regulations, conform to safety standards and planned maintenance system requirements.
Complete breakdown work order, create notification, provide feedback and generate orders on the relevant systems.
Perform work in a safe and reliable manner ensuring the highest level of workmanship.
Conduct regular plant inspection and report non-conformance and problems.
Monitor the operational conditions of machinery and equipment.
Perform lockout procedure on machines and/or equipment to prepare for maintenance.
Carry out routine maintenance on production machines to ensure smooth running.
Maintain, select and establish measurements with complex measuring equipment as well as tolerancing.
Complete necessary reports as required.
COST REDUCTION AND CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
Implement cost reduction strategies and engage in continuous improvement initiatives.

Microsoft Programs
Samancor Chrome Systems (IMS, EBMS, ChromeDoc, SAP, Coupa, MES)
Knowledge:
MV Switching experience is an added advantage.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
N3 that is equivalent to Grade 12 / Matric (4x Technical subjects and 2x Language subject).
Qualified Trade Certificate (Millwright).
3 years' relevant experience.
