Magazine Master

We are seeking a qualified Magazine Master who will be responsible for administering and safeguarding explosive stocks in compliance with legal and client requirements. This role is crucial in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of explosives to the blasting face while supporting the preparation of blast blocks.Key Responsibilities:Manage the receipt, storage, and orderly packing of blasting accessories/explosives.Verify deliveries against the delivery note and record them in the Register Book.Ensure that explosives are loaded and transported safely and in compliance with regulations.Complete pre-issue checklists for vehicles and drivers, ensuring all safety prescriptions are met.Collaborate with the Explosives and Scheduling Coordinators to address discrepancies or non-compliance issues.The ideal candidate will have:Grade 12 with Mathematics.Certified as a Magazine Master with the CIE.Blasting Assistant Certificate and 2 years of blasting assistant experience.Experience in the transportation and storage of explosives.Valid Drivers Licence for explosive vehicles and a Police Clearance Certificate.If you are safety-conscious and ready to take on a critical role in blasting operations, apply today and ensure the safe handling of explosives!EE Disclaimer:All positions will be filled in accordance with the company's Employment Equity plan.
