Crown Bag (Pty) Ltd is a packing material manufacturer situated in Harrismith in the Eastern Free State. Crown Bag (Pty) Ltd is a subsidiary of VKB Landbou (Pty) Ltd and part of the VKB Group. Job Description Responsible for setting up machines on production lines and ensuring that the machines achieve the required output speeds with minimal waste.
Qualifications/Requirements

Grade 12 or equivalent
Minimum of 5 years' experience as a machine operator
Experience with Triumph machines is advantageous
Knowledge of bag-making processes, packing, and flexographic printing processes is advantageous

Responsibilities

Set up machines and maintain machine setup standards within the business
Perform changeovers between product lines
Conduct operator maintenance on machines
Plan efficient workflows to meet production targets and deadlines
Diagnose and resolve faults
Monitor quality
Optimize the utilization of resources to ensure minimal waste, maximum productivity, and work efficiency
Adhere to all Health and Safety legislative requirements and meet required standards
Conduct routine daily analyses
Manage and establish all standards for product evaluation
Facilitate training for machine operators to meet required standards

Proficient in computer literacy (MS Office)
Ability to multitask and work independently under pressure
Self-driven and self-motivated with a passion for paper bag manufacturing or other packaging production environments
