we're looking for several opportunities for experienced Setter Technicians/Operators at our Sedgefield location, working on a 24/7 shift pattern.Role OverviewAs a Setter Technician, reporting to the Shift Manager, you will be responsible for setting up and running thermoforming or Injection Moulding machines with IML Automation. Your focus will be on ensuring efficient operation, maintaining quality standards, and meeting customer specifications in line with BRC guidelines.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate Illig and Keifel thermoformers or IML machines, including robotics, safely and efficiently.Train and supervise machine packers, addressing any issues with management.Perform product changeovers, setups, and run established tooling to meet production targets.Diagnose and correct machine faults promptly.Communicate progress and issues to the Shift Manager/Process Engineer.Ensure smooth machine handovers between shifts.Accurately record and manage scrap, downtime, and other relevant data.Maintain machine efficiency, hygiene, and safety standards.Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives.RequirementsStrong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in operating computer equipment for data purposes and using various measuring tools.Methodical and organized approach to work with good time management skills.Flexible, adaptable, and motivated to learn new skills and embrace continuous improvement.Personal AttributesStrong work ethic, reliability, and honesty.Attention to detail with a 'right first time' approach.CompensationBased on experience:Level 1: £11.50/hour (£25,116 annually)Level 2: £12.60/hour (£27,518 annually)Level 3: £13.60/hour (£29,702 annually)Overtime paid at 1.25x the hourly rate.Work Schedule12-hour shifts: 7 AM – 7 PM and 7 PM – 7 AM, on a 3 on, 3 off rotating pattern.Benefits24 days of holiday, inclusive of bank holidays.After 3 months: Auto-enrolment in Royal London Pension (5% employee, 3% employer).After 6 months: Healthshield plan (dental, optical, physio) and Life Assurance (1x basic salary).On-site parking available.This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with proven experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.INDNC
