Introduction

About the role
Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for operating the relevant Injection Moulding Machines and packing moulded parts into relevant packaging.
Daily operation of the Injection Moulding Machine within set quality and recovery standards
Remove moulded parts from machines, and check to ensure that they conform to specifications
Pack moulded parts into relevant packaging
Move controls to set cutting specifications, to position cutting tools and workpieces in relation to each other, and to start machines
Trimming of injection moulded parts
Housekeeping around working area
Report any quality defects to the Shift Supervisor
Report any problems on machines to the Shift Supervisor
Ensure hopper is full at machine
From time to time do as requested from Supervisor
Safe operation of Injection Moulding Machine
Ensuring that machinery and moulds are effectively maintained
Complete production score sheet
Ad hoc functions within the ambit of the job function

Minimum Requirements
National Senior Certificate / Matric / Grade 12 Certificate (Completed)
Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
Previous experience operating an Injection Moulding Machine
Product knowledge
Strong sense of responsibility
Effective communication skills in English (verbal and written)
