TFG's IT division provides innovative, strategic and cost-effective ICT solutions and professional services to TFG and its subsidiaries. TFG Logistics Business Division have recently implemented the largest TFG Distribution Centre with multiple phases of this initiative still to be delivered. In addition, there are key strategic plans to restructure the Distribution System Capability extensively over the next 3 years providing an exceptional opportunity for the successful IT candidate to be involved in supporting and managing these Supply Chain IT solutions, primarily Manhattan Warehouse Management Open system.
Responsibilities:
Provide Operational Support Team leadership, system maintenance and application support services for TFG's Warehouse Management Systems and other Logistics Systems
Ensure that Operational Support services are align and deliver according to Service Levels and Service Availability KPI's
Management of high priority incidents (failures) and Incident reports
Management of escalated Incidents and Service Requests
Management of problem investigations and problem reports
Identify and implement Continual Service Improvements (CSI)
Involved with system enhancements and the elimination of Technical Debt
Engage with business users and other IT staff according to TFG Values to deliver positive business outcomes
Engage with Project Delivery team to transition new\enhanced system solutions from Project mode into 'Business as Usual' mode
Oversight and management of Daily Health Checks performed by Ops Team and Vendors
Management of external IT vendors that provide Warehouse Management Systems application support to TFG Logistics Systems Team
Management of Logistics Standby Roster and batch calls
Requirements:
Have a relevant tertiary qualification
Minimum of 5 - 8 years' application support experience ideally in warehouse systems
Have good technical skills ideally in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL.
Have a good understanding of warehouse management processes and IT Service Management processes (ITIL)
Able to work independently and in a team orientated environment
Have good verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrate a commitment to customer service, displaying problem resolution and technical support capabilities.
Advantageous:
Experience or knowledge about Oracle Databases and Cognos reporting tool is advantageous
Preference will be given, but not limited to, candidates from designated groups in terms of the Employment Equity Act.
