They are committed to delivering exceptional service and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality.ResponsibilitiesManage day-to-day logistics activities to maximise the efficiency, reliability and cost effectiveness of the organization's supply chain.Direct the movement, storage and processing of inventory to ensure a cost-effective flow of activities.Examine existing procedures or opportunities for streamlining activities to meet customer needs.Manage direct materials and equipment planning (lugs, dollies etc.).Manage and maintain inventory control program of product in storage warehouses.Manage relationships and negotiate transport rates with logistics partners to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.Liaise with functional and operations area managers to ensure supply activities are integrated with other parts of the business.Lead, direct, evaluate and develop warehouse colleagues to ensure resources are used effectively and work schedules and targets are met.Maintain metrics and analyse data to assess performance and implement improvements to optimize warehouse functions.Actively involved in data capturing and audit programs, physical inventory, cycle counting, delivery and non-conformance material flow process.Drive supply chain initiatives between sales and operations.RequirementsProven experience as a Logistics Manager in the food and beverage manufacturing industry.Grade 12 (NQF 4) or equivalent.A National Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Operations / Logistics / Business or related field.At least 4 years in supply chain management.At least 4 years' experience managing a team.At least 5 years' experience in a FMCG industry.Good, proven knowledge in Food Safety (FSSC 22000 / ISO 22000 / IBL Standards).BenefitsSalary: negotiable.RPO is a Specialist Recruitment Agency that provides candidates and clients with unique recruitment solutions tailored to their needs.
