They are committed to delivering exceptional service and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality.ResponsibilitiesManage day-to-day logistics activities to maximise the efficiency, reliability and cost effectiveness of the organization's supply chain.Direct the movement, storage and processing of inventory to ensure a cost-effective flow of activitiesExamine existing procedures or opportunities for streamlining activities to meet customer needsManage direct materials and equipment planning (lugs, dollies etc.)Manage and maintain inventory control program of product in storage warehousesManage relationships and negotiate transport rates with logistics partners to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveriesLiaise with functional and operations area managers to ensure supply activities are integrated with other parts of the businessLead, direct, evaluate and develop warehouse colleagues to ensure resources are used effectively and work schedules and targets are metMaintain metrics and analyse data to assess performance and implement improvements to optimize warehouse functionsActively involved in data capturing and audit programs, physical inventory, cycle counting, delivery and non-conformance material flow processDrive supply chain initiatives between sales and operationsRequirementsProven experience as a Logistics Manager in the food and beverage manufacturing industryGrade 12 (NQF 4) or equivalentA National Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Operations / Logistics / Business or related fieldAt least 4 years in supply chain managementAt least 4 years' experience managing a teamAt least 5 years' experience in a FMCG industryGood, proven knowledge in Food Safety (FSSC 22000 / ISO 22000 / IBL Standards)BenefitsSalary: negotiableRPO is a Specialist Recruitment Agency that provides candidates and clients with unique recruitment solutions tailored to their needs.
