The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex international logistics operations and will be responsible for enhancing efficiencies, reducing costs, and optimizing the supply chain. The position is a permanent, on-site based in Cape Town region.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field5+ years of Logistics experience in a managerial capacity, with sound operational backgroundStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsProven track record of managing complex logistics operationsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholdersProven ability to deliver service excellence, cost optimizationEnsuring compliance with all relevant regulationsDuties:Support Head of Logistics with daily operational tasks and managing team output and performanceTeam management responsibilitiesAct as escalation point for important tasks or queriesInternal stakeholder engagement and collaboration across other business unitsEnsure compliance with all regulations and requirements for importing and exporting goods to international markets, including customs regulations, and tariffsAssist with service provider management and service delivery, including Key Performance Indicators (KPI) measurementCompile and drive reporting and analysis exercises, with an emphasis on supply chain cost, lead-time and performanceAssist with industry benchmarking exercises and best route to market operationsMonitor global supply chain and logistics trends, in order to react and change strategy if neededAssist and support with implementing logistics strategies, projects and new initiativesIf you have not heard from us within 3 months of applying, please consider your application unsuccessful.Only online applications will be considered.
