Job DescriptionAn Agri commodity company has a vacancy for a Logistics Assistant to provide administrative support to the Execution and Finance Team.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesMaintenance of Customer and Vendor KYC informationDaily processing of customer & Vendor Sales contracts and Purchase orders and submission to CounterpartiesPastel processing - All steps from capturing sales order, purchase order, inbound, Supplier Invoices and invoicingEnsuring creditor payments are timeously and correctly processed, reconciled and capturedVessel Outturn and Demurrage invoicing and Credit notesReceiving transporter invoices, updating required reports, towards processing for paymentReconciling of weight differences and necessary weight claims for transporters and clients per loadProcessing all other creditors for Services, Commodity and Miscellaneous creditorsMaintaining record of Creditors provisionsDaily and Accurate Monitoring of accounts for Client & VendorsMaintaining Logistics execution reports against contractsDaily Capturing of Bank statementsCapturing & Reconciling General Finance / Office Administrative tasksMaintain Filing of all Hard copy Documents (creditors/supplier invoices, invoices, credit notes, contracts)Liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth process flow of all business processesTraining related to future developmentAd hoc Relief of logistics Officer admin dutiesEducation and ExperienceIntermediate to Advanced computer literacy (Microsoft Office)Pastel experience (Advantage)Relevant tertiary qualification in supply chain (Advantage)Min 2 years work experience requiredPlease noteCandidates must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing demands
