Logistics Administrator (6-month contract)An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for two experienced and suitably qualified Logistics Administrators to join the Auto Logistics team based in Durban.Purpose of the job:Coordination of Road & Sea Logistics function in line with responsible destination.Experiential and Educational requirements:MatricCertificate in Logistics Management5 years of Import/Export (Including Business Administration), in the motor industry.Customs and excise regulations/ Import and ExportRoad and Sea ExperienceMS Office - IntermediateKnowledge of SAP System advantageousEssential duties and responsibilities:Administrate the logistics of vehicles into the relevant destination ensuring timeous delivery and error-free documentation.Complete the necessary daily/weekly/monthly updates, schedules and reports to control and monitor the required export function.Plan all vessel / carrier bookings with the relevant transporters to ensure accurate schedules and delivery lead times.Develop all import & export documents such as Invoices, COO, P/L, BOL's, etc., to ensure effective management of the logistics process.Provide customers and service providers (transporters, couriers, customs, etc.) liaison to always ensure effective communication.To function effectively in a team to meet a common goal.Process the required SAP / IT System capturing in accordance with the relevant deadlines.Strict adherence and development of all standard operating procedures relevant to logistics and accessory fitment / conversions to ensure compliance and confidentiality.Ensure that all necessary information is readily available for management reports and performance appraisals.Oversee specific departmental responsibility and ensure adequate training such as ISO14001, Health and Safety, First Aid, Fire Fighting, UID, etc.Competency Requirement:Planning and OrganizingCommunication SkillsCustomer Centric focusTeamworkInnovative ThinkingResult OrientationDetail Orientation
