My client is urgently recruiting for a Lodge Manager as part for their expension .The main purpose of the Lodge will be to manage the Lodge and thereby create a profound Guest Experience in line with the service vison and creative concepts of the lodge. It iwill be the responsibility of the Lodge manager to monitor hospitality service, maintenance, gardening, and housekeeping standards within the Lodge. The role is additionally strategic in nature and the lodge manager must drive the appropriate service directives for the lodge and move the Lodge towards achieving broader goals.In this capacity, guest expectations regarding the standard of service should be exceeded. In addition, the lodge needs to be monitored so that it is run in a cost-effective manner within the agreed budget; in a manner which is conductive to positive inter-personal relationships between staff and a superior level of efficiency.The Lodge Manager is also responsible for ensuring that the morale of the lodge staff is kept at a high level and that staff are developed on an ongoing basis.This position is accountable to the General Manager who oversees 2 of the Company's Lodges in the same private game reserve.Remuneration StructureVery Competitive Basic Salary with also has a commission strucure based on additional activities soldAccommodation providedAll meals providedUniforms supplied by the companyLaundryRotational work cycleAnnual LeaveAny additional benifits will be discussed in the interview?Skills and Experience RequiredMatricTertiary Hospitality Diploma / Degree – preferredA minimum of 6 years work experience ideally 2 in training and 4 in a well recognised 5 star Hotel or World Class lodge as a ManagerExceptional F&B and Front Office Management knowledgeFinancial Management abilityA hardworking cooperative mannerHigh standards of service excellence and a passion for the industryAttention to detailExceptional English and a second language preferrableGood computer literacyExcellent Management capability and communication skillsA clear understanding of basic labour law and disciplinary proceduresA development approach to staffAssertiveness, patience, and good organizational skillsUnderstanding of housekeeping and maintenance proceduresAn awareness of developments within Safari Lodge industries as well as international trends in hospitalityExpectationsIn broad terms the Lodge Manager oversees the following Key performance areas:Drive the broader goals of the company, in terms of the Lodge by planning and Implimenting strategic management plans.Management and training of the lodge staff in line with the Company standard of excellence.Ensure ultimate guest relations and that the "at home" personal attention levels are maintained.Maintain the highest standard of housekeeping and maintenance and ensure that the style and design is not eroded.Effective financial management through the administration of orders and effective stock control.Effective communication and maintenance of Lodge relations.*Please note that only candidates that meet the above criteria and are shortlisted for Interview will be contacted back .
