Minimum Qualifications and experience:
PhD in a South African Language with a focus on isiZulu.
Ability to teach Sesotho would be an added advantage.
A minimum of five years' experience of teaching isiZulu at school and/or in higher education.
Duties:
Ability to contribute to curriculum innovation and design and implementation of new courses.
Ability to contribute to both isiZulu Home Language and isiZulu First Additional Language.
Ability to teach at postgraduate level and supervise research.
Evidence of research ability and/or potential (a publication record would be an advantage for Lecturer).
Ability to contribute to transformation in the School and University.
