Global Banking School is looking for a dedicated Lecturer in Health, Wellbeing, and Social Care. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of knowledge and practical experience to our academic programs. Responsibilities include teaching across a range of health and social care modules, contributing to curriculum development.
We have achieved outstanding results in the 2024 National Student Survey (NSS), scoring above the sector average in all themes and we improved on last year's exceptional results in 7 out of 10 themes.
You will also need to be flexible to teach during weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to): All aspects of planning, delivering, and assessing student work, ensuring that all learning outcomes are metDevelop, update, and improve course materials as appropriateUse a variety of learning and teaching methods/materials including live online learningAttend meetings as required, to contribute to the decision-making process and to develop productive working relationships within the various teams you will be engaged withActively be involved in staff development activities and peer observationsUnderstand and keep up to date with student support to ensure our students have the full support and guidance they needParticipate in the GBS performance management programme, meeting a range of clearly defined objectives for student outcomes, student satisfaction, retention, and attendanceUndertake administrative duties as agreed with your line managerTake on other responsibilities as required to support the work of GBS Essential: Master's degree and/or a PhD in the relevant areaTeaching qualifications: PGCHE, MA in HE Practice or FHEA etc.Previous lecturing experience for similar coursesExperience supervising student work and providing support and feedbackDesirable: Experience working in the industry of your subject In return we offer a great working environment, career progression, and some great benefits which include:
