The IIE Varsity College, Cape Town Campushas a vacancy for a Lecturer: Faculty of Commerce (Part-Time) for the following module: EntrepreneurshipBusiness ManagementJob Purpose: Lecture based on provided content, ensure students are guided and supported in their learning. Mark student submissions and engage with campus teaching and learning.Key Performance Areas: Prepare for lectures based on provided content. Supplement content with own expertise. Deliver assigned modules to the stated outcomes and contracted hours. Mark student assessments and provide constructive feedback. Perform academic admin, such as capturing assessment marks and reporting on student success. Provide content feedback. Engage with professional development opportunities and attend initial training sessions. Minimum Qualification Requirements:
Ideally: Honours in Business Management; Strategic Management; or EntrepreneurshipAlternatively:Honours in one of the Business Management related fields (e.g. entrepreneurship, contemporary, general; strategic; project; supply chain/logistics management) with management to the third year of an undergraduate degreeA bachelor's degree with Business Management or a similarly related field (e.g. entrepreneurship, contemporary, general; strategic; project; supply chain/logistics management) to the third-year level PLUS either an MBA/MBL or a postgraduate diploma in business or educationMinimum Work Experience Requirements: Lecturing experience in general, contemporary and/or strategic management/ entrepreneurship/ risk management/ supply chain and or logistics management/ project managementWork experience as a general or strategic manager/ risk management/ entrepreneurship/ supply chain management/ project managementBeing involved in the process of analysis and the components and functions of optimization in the operational process (Theory of Constraint)Bachelor of Business Administration with business management as major up to third year and relevant industry experience.Working Conditions: Please note that this is an Independent Contractor role.Owing to the volume of CVs received, we may not be able to personally contact all applicants.
