Job Title: Lease Administrator
Job Summary: The Lease Administrator is responsible for efficiently managing and maintaining all lease-related activities for the organization. This includes overseeing lease negotiations, rent collection, lease renewals, and managing lease documentation. The Lease Administrator will have a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and be able to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate lease administration for all properties owned or leased by the organization
Review and analyze lease agreements to ensure compliance with terms and conditions
Serve as the main point of contact for all landlord and tenant lease-related inquiries
Oversee rent and lease payment processing, including rent collection and reconciliation
Prepare and maintain accurate lease documentation, including lease abstracts and amendments
Conduct regular property inspections and maintain lease compliance reports
Process lease renewals and negotiate lease terms and conditions with landlords
Collaborate with legal teams to ensure lease agreements are valid and optimize lease contract terms
Coordinate with internal departments, such as accounting and finance, to ensure accurate and timely lease reporting
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in lease administration
Skills Required:
Typing, computer literacy (Advanced MS Office, Contract Creation & Procurement system), Nicor & SAP; Telephone skills, Administration, Organisational skills.
Qualifications:
Minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent qualification. 3 years relevant experience, directly interfacing with clients and providing general administrative support services. A secretarial or PRO diploma would be a recommendation.
