What will you do? The Learning and Development Consultant will contribute to the high standard of development and growth of Glacier employees by designing, developing and implementing blended learning solutions and applying best-practice methodologies, practices and standards.
Key Outcomes The following outcomes will be expected to be achieved by the Learning and Development Consultant:
Liaise with different stakeholders to ascertain the training needs Develop, compile and maintain training manuals, records and support materials as needs arise Create, schedule and deliver training programmes focused on adult learning methods and based on employee needs Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training Develop training plan Utilize online e-learning tools Provide feedback on learning to managers and employees Provide technical support and expertise Adhere to organisational best practices and legislative requirements (Skills Development Act, Employment Equity Act) Build and maintain relationships with relevant departments Provide efficient and effective coaching to staff Schedule training interventions according to business plan and training needs identified Coordinate and facilitate technical training courses regarding product, process & system knowledge and skills with distribution and sales management teams, intermediaries and assistants Coordinate the internal bursary process by acting as a liaison between the leadership team and the employees, ensuring a seamless communication process, facilitating the bursary payments and keeping track of payment records, tracking learning progress, and compiling reports Provide training on technical legal aspects of products and industry-related legal issues Prepare internal and external candidates for FAIS regulatory exams Provide support with regard to new projects and technology Conduct assessments of learners and evaluation instruments Provide continuous support through query resolution Comply with regulatory requirements i.e. Skills Development Act (NQF) Qualifications and experience 5+ years relevant business experience and product knowledge within a LISP 5+ years' experience in development of learning material and facilitating training interventions Degree/Diploma/Higher Certificate in Education or related qualification Knowledge of legislation i.e. FICA, FAIS, FATCA, OECD and PDD 3+ years E-learning development experience Competencies Client Focus Cultivates innovation Collaborates Drives results Being Resilient Problem solving and Analysis skills Attention to detail Attributes Honesty, integrity and respect Proactive Professional manner Positive, enthusiastic attitude What will make you successful in this role? Qualification and Experience Degree or Diploma with 4 to 5 years related experience.
Knowledge and Skills Management of Operational Support department and People management functions. Signing off user specs and providing input for systems developments. Manage SLAs. Drive the administrative implementation of new and existing processes, procedures, legislative changes and projects. Budgeting, expense management.
