Do you want to work in a highly rated practice with a strong team underneath you?
We are working with a beautiful and modern Small Animal Practice in East London to add a strong general practitioner vet to the team.
The Clinic: We are a small team of 16 veterinary professionals all dedicated to providing the highest quality of animal care. We are fully supported by confident RVNs and talented support staff so you can focus purely on your clinical work. We are run by our personal business manager who knows the best way to turn a profit is with staff welfare and success.
We mainly see dogs (circa 60%) as our clients love their canine friends but we do see a good variety of other small animals including, however limited, exotics. We boast large and modern consult rooms and operating theatres and have our own isolation units, spacious wards and staff space. The orthopaedic equipment we use is top of the range and you will also have easy access to CT scanning and other great diagnostic equipment.
The Job: We are recruiting for a Senior Veterinary Surgeon to take on a lead role within our clinic. You will be a confident all-rounder and happy with all aspects of first opinion, general practice to the extent that you can support new graduates in their first roles here. If you have a specific interest in an area, such as orthopaedics, internal medicine or dermatology, we are happy to try and have your personal caseload more biased to your interest.
There are no OOH but as a full-time, permanent Vet, you will be required to join our weekend schedule (1 in 4) where sole charge is likely.
The Candidate: As a senior clinician, you will be a confident GP vet with the skills to not only perform consults and surgeries, but also train and develop more junior and graduate vets into becoming clinical experts. RCVS registration is a must and certificate holders will stand out from the crowd.
What's in it for me? We are looking to offer up to around £70,000 for the right candidate but do have flexibility. Alongside the salary, we are able to offer some fantastic benefits including:
