Description Assist with routine analysis of microbiological nature. Prepare agars, reagents and chemicals used for routine analysis. Clean utensils and glassware used for routine analytical determination. Correctly apply techniques within specified guidelines. Timeously complete technical tasks according to set quality and accreditation standards. Efficiently plan and schedule analytical service in accordance with given instructions. Cost-effective stock control according to regulation. Timeous reporting of malfunctioning of equipment. Maintain and ensure that equipment is in working order and in compliance with applicable quality standards. Assist in maintaining the accreditation status, ISO/IEC 17025:2017 of the laboratory. Maintaining an Occupational and Health, Safety laboratory according to Good Laboratory Practice. Assist with sample reception and monthly mixing of calibration standards. Assist in maintaining a clean laboratory in general.
Requirements Senior Certificate/Grade 12 with 5 years relevant experience or Grade 10 with 10 years relevant experience or 20 years relevant experience. Experience in ISO 17025 and working in an accredited laboratory, will be an advantage. Proficiency in MS Office Suite. Skilled to work as part of the team as well as independently. Verbal and written communication skills. The ability to respect and maintain confidentiality. Skilled to work as part of the team as well as independently. In possession of a valid SA driver's license.
