Kubernetes Platform Engineer

Job Brief Leading Financial Services Client requires a Kubernetes Platform Engineer to join their team and assist in the constant automation and configuration of the Kubernetes environments.

Responsibilities Manage and maintain Linux platforms to ensure stability and continued high performance of the platforms and applications. Assist in implementing, managing, and configuring environment, platform, and application monitoring. Assist in the constant automation and configuration of the Kubernetes environments. Participate in DevOps, monitoring, release, and configuration management. Work with advanced Linux implementations as well as hardware configured environments. Requirements Grade 12 / Matric. Tertiary qualification in Information Technology and Linux Certification recommended. 4+ years experience in the Information Technology sector and runtime operations support in some form. 2+ years as an advanced Linux user with experience in RedHat, JBoss EAP (or Wildfly), Kubernetes, and Rancher. Knowledge of APIs, REST, and SOAP services and exposure to scripting. Operational support, standby, and after-hours support is required.
