They are currently seeking a Technical Buyer who will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and procuring technical materials and components critical to their production processes. The Technical Buyer will also take on the responsibility of preparing and sending out quotes for spare parts to their valued clients. This dual role requires a candidate with a keen eye for procurement and the ability to engage with clients in a professional and efficient manner. This role is pivotal in maintaining and enhancing their operational efficiency and product quality, including maintaining strong customer relationships.Duties and ResponsibilitiesSourcing and Procurement:Identify, assess, and select suppliers of technical equipment and machinery for the food processing and poultry industry.Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to evaluate the suitability and performance of components used for equipment, ensuring alignment with production goals.Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers, aiming for cost-effectiveness and long-term partnerships.Work closely with production managers to ensure that purchased technical components meet or exceed quality standards.Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, monitor their performance, and resolve any issues promptly.Oversee inventory levels of technical assets to support production schedules.Collaborate with clients to understand their spare parts requirements and provide timely and accurate quotations.Prepare and submit quotations for spare parts, ensuring all relevant details and pricing are included.Follow up on quotations and address any client inquiries or concerns promptly.Maintain a database of spare parts quotations and client communication for future reference.Desired Qualifications and ExperienceMatricBachelor's degree / Diploma in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Proven experience in procurement and supply chain management, with a strong understanding of sourcing and negotiation.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal staff.Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.Strong analytical skills to evaluate supplier proposals and quotations.Skillset RequiredAnalytical skills, ability to manage multiple tasks, detail-oriented and organized, interpersonal skills, pivotal, Excel, strong understanding, strong analytical skills.
