This position reports to the Outbound Shift Manager. Your responsibilities will include: Outbound KPI's – Customer orders to be shipped by 5pm daily Picking and Packing Productivity – Ensure that we meet company targets Cost control – manage labour / heads on shift vs volumes and hours Packing costs – manage usage on floor Housekeeping – manage the team to ensure they keep areas within standards Goals – ensure that each individual has a clear understanding of their goals Review internal processes and continue to iterate and innovate to improve department continuously Apply our company values into daily tasks Attributes required: Strong communication skills A structured and disciplined management style Ability to motivate and inspire others is critical Strong problem-solving skills Self-starter with high energy levels a must Well-developed business and operational acumen Analytically minded and able to find and use data to inform decision making Ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines Good attention to detail Strong Customer Service orientation Goal-oriented and motivated to succeed Dynamic individual with proven experience in delivering change and innovative solutions Preferred experience in: E-commerce experience ERP systems knowledge Experience in working with budgets and cost analysis LEAN or continuous improvement Performance management skills – knowledge of Industrial Relations and practices Qualifications: Grade 12 – National Senior Certificate Supply Chain or Logistics higher certificate is preferred. 3-5 years Supervisory experience in logistics or distribution environment People management experience, good oral and written communication skills Decision making and problem solving ability Ability to manage change within a logistics operation Will commit and achieve targets and project timelines. Willing to work shifts, including weekends if necessary, in an operational 7/365 environment Self-starter with high energy levels a must Must be able to work as part of a multi-cultural team
