Junior Quantity Surveyor

Introduction:

We require the service of a skilled and experienced Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The candidate will need the following qualifications and experience to fit within our team.

Responsibilities:

· Assist in preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.

· Compilation of bill of materials and quantities.

· Review/analysing of tenders.

· Conduct accurate cost analysis, estimation, and forecasting for construction projects.

· Plan and organize all commercial management processes and contractual deadlines, budget and resources for a project.

· Maintain accurate project records, including measurement records and cost documentation.

· Conduct site visits to assess progress and ensure compliance with contractual specifications. On site Measurement of materials and quantities there-off.

· Assisting with cost management of construction projects.

· Providing reports and updates on project budget and cost status and provide regular updates to project managers.

· Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.

· Complying with the procedures laid down by The South African Council for the Quantity Surveying Profession.

· Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate cost management.

Qualification & Requirements:

· BSc Quantity Surveying.

· A minimum of two years experience in Quantity Surveying or similar role.

· MS Projects, ability to read and understand project schedules.

· Knowledge of MS Office.

· Cost control, BOQ, Cost management, Cost planning, and Cost reporting skills.

· Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and regulations

· Effective communication and negotiation skills.

· Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

· Knowledge of Sans requirements and other legislative requirements.

· Knowledge of reading and interpreting technical drawings.

· Valid driver's license.

· Own reliable transport.

· Own reliable laptop.
