Lab-based experience is advantageous. Must have a hands-on approach to lab work, an ability to follow instructions thoroughly, pay attention to detail and work in a meticulous & methodical manner.SA citizenship, residing in reasonable distance to commute to Ballito daily.Location: Ballito, KZNSalary: Entry levelDETAILSOur client is an established ISO 17025 accredited Analytical testing laboratory who services the Water, Wastewater, Mining, Agricultural, Viticulture and Food and Beverage industries. They are looking to fill a junior level role within the lab environment. Full training will be provided to the right individual, who will be someone with the qualification and self-motivation to learn on the job and show conscientiousness and tenacity in their approach to work.Responsibilities:Performing laboratory testing following training in test procedures.Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), conducting routine analyses.Prepare Agar, operate autoclave.Familiarize oneself with the Quality Management System (QMS).Ensure Quality Controls are updated, monitored and correctly interpreted.Ensure environmental monitoring is done as part of daily operations.Other ad hoc lab-based and administrative duties.Requirements:ND/BSc/BTech in Chemistry / Biochemistry / Microbiology.Personal attributes: Neat, precise, organised, task focused, responsible, self-motivated, hard-working team player.Strong communication skills in English, computer literate.South African citizen, must already be residing in JHB.Note weekend work will be required (on a rotational basis).APPLICATION INFORMATIONCommencement: As soon as possibleApplication information: Please apply online below.Please note that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
