Junior Estimator

A well-established Construction Company in the Built environment is seeking to appoint a Junior Estimator.The successful applicant will fulfil all the necessary requirements with regards to:Preparing accurate cost estimates, assisting with tender submissions, packaging RFQs (Request of Quotations), compiling comprehensive BOQs (Bills of Quantities), as well as measuring and drawing-up of BOQs from drawings.Attend site clarification meetings for tenders and provide feedback to Senior Management.Following up on RFQs sent out to Sub-Contractors, ensuring that the most competitive priced quotes are received on each trade for the tender.Build relationships with various Sub-Contractors and Suppliers to ensure the best pricing is received in the market.Minimum RequirementsBTech in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.At least 2 years' relevant experience in a similar Built environment.Must be proficient in Candy (CCS - Construction Computer Software) and MS Office.Valid Driver's License and own transport.Preferred CompetenciesExcellent planning, organising, communication and interpersonal skills.Good decision making and problem-solving skills.Ability to prioritise and focus on deliverables.A motivated self-starter who takes a proactive and solution driven approach.Evidence of achieving deadlines in a demanding environment.Position AvailabilityImmediately or as soon as possible.Kindly note that if we do not contact you within 14 days, please consider your application as unsuccessful.Desired SkillsCandyCCSQuantity surveyingTender SubmissionRFQBOQEstimatingDesired Work Experience2 to 5 yearsDesired Qualification LevelCertificate
