Junior Cost Accountant - Howick

Responsibilities:Maintain and update cost accounting systems and procedures specific to manufacturing operationsAnalyse and allocate costs to various operationsConduct variance analysis to identify factors impacting production costsAnalyse inventory variances and implement corrective measures to optimize resource utilizationMonitor project costs and provide financial oversight throughout the project lifecycle, from planting to harvestEnsure all BOMs and costings relating to BOMs are maintainedWork together with sales team to report on sales of stock and sales channelsWork together with the financial manager to ensure Costing reports are accurate and on timeSome supervision of junior finance personnel will be required RequirementsCIMA qualification preferred, or a Bachelor of Commerce (B. Comm) or equivalentAt least 2 years of relevant work experience in similar roles (Post-articles)Strong grasp of manufacturing and FMCG costing processes and inventory managementSolid understanding of general ledger transactions and financial reportingProficient in developing and maintaining sales reporting systems Due to the high volume of applications received, only suitable candidates who meet the criteria of this vacancy will be contacted.
