Junior Construction Manager

Hire Resolve's Client is seeking a Junior Construction Manager to join their team in Johannesburg.
The Junior Construction Manager will assist in overseeing construction projects from initiation to completion.
The role requires hands-on involvement in planning, execution, and delivery of projects, ensuring that work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities Project Coordination Assist with day-to-day site management, ensuring work is progressing as per the schedule.
Collaborate with senior project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure smooth operations.
Coordinate materials and equipment delivery to the site.
Site Supervision Monitor work done on-site and ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.
Track the performance of subcontractors and laborers to ensure timelines are met.
Resolve minor on-site issues and escalate complex matters when necessary.
Scheduling and Budget Management Assist with project timelines, schedules, and cost monitoring.
Work closely with the procurement team for cost-effective materials and resources.
Quality Assurance Conduct quality checks to ensure construction work meets design specifications and safety guidelines.
Identify and mitigate potential project risks or delays.
Documentation and Reporting Maintain project records, including progress reports, budgets, and schedules.
Submit daily/weekly site activity reports.
Support the senior team in managing project paperwork and contractual obligations.
Client and Stakeholder Communication Assist in addressing client concerns and providing updates as required.
Attend regular site meetings with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders.
Key Requirements Education & Qualifications : National Diploma or Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
SACPCMP registration (or in progress) would be an advantage.
Experience : 1-3 years of experience in construction site management or a similar role.
Exposure to residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects preferred.
Skills : Knowledge of construction processes, materials, and project management principles.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Project) and project scheduling tools.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Problem-solving mindset and ability to multitask.
Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental standards on construction sites.
