IntroductionOur client, a Technical Specialist in the Engineering and Mining Industry, is currently recruiting a Junior Buyer/Procurement Officer for their Centurion Offices.We require your working knowledge of sourcing and purchasing various goods including machinery, equipment, raw materials, and/or other supplies for internal consumption.Duties & ResponsibilitiesResponsible for purchasing various goods including machinery, equipment, raw materials, and/or other supplies for internal consumption.Obtaining and negotiating prices, delivery, terms, and sources of supply following specified policies and procedures.Ensure and maintain daily outputs.Monitor supplier performance with regard to delivery, quality, and quantity.Process internal requisitions for orders.Expediting orders, following up with suppliers.Report any urgent issues regarding stock levels and supply issues.Maintain good communication between suppliers, customers, production, and management.Sourcing of current and new products, negotiating pricing.Prepare and maintain purchasing records, reports, and price lists.Communicate with intercompany divisions regarding stock requirements and coordinate with relevant departments.Administer contract performance, including receipt and delivery.Comply with all Company processes and procedures, regulations, and standards.Use computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, word-processing, calendars, e-mail, and database software in performing work assignments and providing reports.Desired Experience & QualificationCompleted Matric and relevant Diploma.Must have own car and valid driver's license.
