Responsibilities Responsible for ensuring that all products are handled with care as per the standards and procedures which have been trained to you. Ensure that the warehouse is kept clean and tidy and that all Food Safety measures are followed Ensure that the area directly outside of the warehouse is kept clean and tidy Actively participate in the Company Continuous Improvement Program and educational events as required. Perform other duties when required. Check orders upon loading and record product details on load sheets, ensure the right products are dispatched, loaded and labels checked. Stock Control inform management / QC of any non-conformances, missing stock, stock issues Stock control Weekly and monthly stock takes to be conducted and recorded on Palladium. Investigate & Inform management of any discrepancies / concerns Stock Control receiving deliveries from suppliers. Check stock and paperwork is in order and ensure the paperwork is passed through to Accounts / Administration/ QC GRV the stock into the system using the Goods Received system on Palladium Stock Control manage the issuing of product to production is checked, recorded, and labelled Stock Control manage the receiving of product from production is checked, recorded, and labelled Route and manage the drivers day to day duties and activities Work closely with QC, Sales Support to ensure efficiencies and forecasts are met Check refrigeration for main Fridge and both reefers temperature and condition daily Ensure the fridge is kept clean and managed in an orderly fashion and all products are clearly labelled and grouped according to FIFO Report any deviations that could affect the safety of food items. Complete return sheets for returns approved for upliftment and include all product expiry dates and quantities Manage Stock levels effectively by use of forecasting system on Palladium Oversee and supervise the UFI Depot and Warehouse Fridge Stock Control Ensure all areas within warehouse areas are kept clean and tidy. All surfaces to be always kept unobstructed and clear. All tools and machinery to be stored away and kept safe. Excess boxes to be disposed of as quickly as possible Daily checks to be done on the Generator. Oil and Water changes to be implemented frequently. Records to be maintained Spray ball to be run daily as per schedule. Cleaning schedule to be adhered to Ensure Opening and Closing procedures are followed Assist in recruitment of new staff required within your department Manage warehouse and logistical staff relating to attendance, disputes, internal communications etc HR Receive and pre-approve leave requests for managements approval for staff under your administration HR coach, train and follow the disciplinary code of conduct with staff under your administration HR Complete internal probationary checklist documentation for staff under your administration Stock rotation and FIFO procedures are followed and maintained Ensure the safe handling, transportation, and delivery of food items according to food safety requirement. Ensure Vehicle licenses and personnel drivers licenses are kept up to date, inform Management of renewals due Ensure the drivers have a valid drivers license for the specific category of vehicle used by the Employer. This will apply to a driver assigned to a specific vehicle, and to a driver who uses a business vehicle intermittently. Ensure the Driver signs a checklist indicating the condition of the vehicle at the time of receiving it and every day thereafter. Report any damage or accidents immediately. Ensure Vehicles are kept up to date with services
