The company is involved in the power generation and earthmoving industry, with a major focus on Perkins Diesel Engine Parts.The position advertised will report directly to the senior buyer. The successful candidate will be entrusted with the following duties and responsibilities:Duties:Management of inventory interlinking with the Warehouse & Stock Controlling ManagerSupplier relationship management, including price/contract negotiationsIssuing of purchase orders, following up and expediting placed ordersMaintenance of the ERP System (Sage, Paladium)Tracking of vendor non-conformances, vendor specification sheets, and other related documentsInternal audits and updating of recordsDesired Experience & QualificationAt least 2-3 years' experience in a parts-related business or supply chain intensive environmentKnowledge of procurement processes, negotiation, and mathematical/financial analysis skillsMS Office skills, particularly Excel (Not Negotiable); Sage and Paladium will be an advantageGood interpersonal skills, high energy, self-motivated and self-driven, resilienceStrong analytical thinking and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage large volumes of data in a structured and detailed manner, organized and methodicalJob Type: Temp to permContract length: 3 months
