Junior Buyer (Contract)

A specialist manufacturer based in the Western Cape is seeking a Junior Buyer to join their team on a contract .
This role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in an innovative manufacturing environment while contributing to the success of their procurement processes As a Junior Buyer, you will be responsible for purchasing materials, supplies, and services across various categories.
The role requires you to qualify vendors, evaluate bids, negotiate prices, and manage supplier relationships.
Your duties will include processing requisitions into purchase orders using SAP, maintaining vendor data, and driving cost-saving initiatives.
We are looking for a candidate with 2 to 4 years of experience in purchasing and logistics within industries such as manufacturing, engineering, or FMCG.
Proficiency in SAP is essential, along with a strong understanding of supplier sourcing and supply chain processes.
To succeed in this role, you should be detail-oriented, compliance-driven, and capable of meeting deadlines while effectively negotiating with suppliers.
