Junior Bookkeeper - Sandton

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Junior Bookkeeper. The ideal candidate will assist with maintaining financial records, processing payments, and conducting basic bookkeeping tasks. This position offers an opportunity for growth and development in the field of accounting. Responsibilities: 1. Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports 2. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records 3. Process accounts payable and receivable transactions 4. Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions 5. Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements 6. Monitor and track company expenses 7. Assist with budgeting and forecasting 8. Provide support to senior accountants and financial analysts as needed 9. Maintain confidentiality of financial information 10. Perform other administrative tasks as assigned Qualifications: 1. A national diploma / degree in accounting, finance, or a related field 2. Strong mathematical and analytical skills 3. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (i.e. QuickBooks and Sage Online) 4. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy 5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills 6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team 7. Prior experience in bookkeeping or accounting is a plus, but not required
