Key Responsibilities: Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and petty cash. Record transactions into the companys accounting systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Bank Reconciliations: Reconcile bank statements with company records to ensure all transactions are accounted for. Identify and resolve discrepancies promptly. Invoicing and Billing: Prepare and issue invoices to clients and suppliers. Monitor and follow up on overdue accounts to ensure timely payments. Expense Tracking: Record and monitor expenses related to mining operations, equipment, and projects. Assist in preparing detailed expense reports for internal and external stakeholders. Assisting with Financial Reports: Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Provide input on cash flow statements, budget summaries, and operational cost analyses. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all financial transactions comply with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations. Assist in the preparation of documentation for audits or inspections. General Administrative Tasks: Organize and maintain physical and digital financial records. Provide administrative support to senior finance team members as required. Support Budgeting Processes: Assist in compiling data for budgets and forecasts related to mining activities. Monitor budget allocations and flag potential overruns. Qualifications and Skills: Education: Diploma or certificate in accounting, finance, or a related field. Bachelors degree in accounting or finance (preferred). Experience: 1-2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related financial role. Experience in the mining industry is a plus. Technical Skills: Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with financial reporting tools and systems. Soft Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
