SALARY AND BENEFITS: R15000 - R17 000 CTC p/m
DESCRIPTION / SYNOPSIS:
Are you a young, dynamic accounting professional looking to grow your career in an established professional services firm? This Junior Accountant role, based in Illovo, Johannesburg offers hands-on experience, excellent mentorship, and exposure to diverse financial tasks, including accounting up to trial balance, reconciliations, and preparing audit files. If you have Sage Evolution experience, a BCom Accounting degree, and an eagerness to contribute to a fast-paced, collaborative environment, this role is for you. Exposure to the manufacturing industry would be a plus, but your passion for numbers and willingness to learn is what sets you apart!
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
BCom Accounting degree or similar qualification
Sage Evolution experience essential
Experience with accounting up to trial balance
Experience with reconciliations and audit file preparation
Knowledge of the manufacturing industry beneficial
Proficiency in financial statements and financial reporting
Analytical skills with strong attention to detail
Ability to work both independently and within a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of Xero would be an added advantage
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Preparing financial statements and reports
Conducting reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records
Assisting in the preparation of audit files
Utilising Sage Evolution for daily accounting tasks
Supporting month-end and year-end closing processes
Collaborating with senior team members to ensure smooth financial operations
