Junior Accountant

Key Responsibilities: Assist with the preparation of financial statements and management reports. Perform daily bookkeeping tasks, including maintaining accurate records of transactions. Reconcile bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and other financial data. Support the preparation and submission of VAT, PAYE, and other statutory returns. Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls. Work closely with senior accountants and finance managers on various projects. Address financial queries and provide support during audits. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. At least 1-2 years of accounting experience , preferably in financial services. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, or similar) and MS Excel. Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial regulations. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
