The IT Specialist will take full accountability for the IT department of MAC Consulting, ensuring that all employees have the technology they need to get their job done, from a reliable laptop and VPN cloud/remote access for remote workers who can't be reached otherwise, to up-close coordination with other departments like HR or Finance to ensure data is secure.
Key Responsibilities: Manage information technology and computer systems, such as file servers and network.Select and purchase new and replacement hardware and software, when necessary.Test, troubleshoot, and modify information systems so that they operate effectively.Plan, organize, control, and evaluate IT and electronic data operations.Design, develop, implement, and coordinate systems, policies, and procedures.Ensure security of data, network access, and backup systems.Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy.Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions timeously.Audit systems and assess their outcomes.Preserve assets, information security, and control structures.Work closely with the Finance Executive to review and update the annual budget and ensure cost-effectiveness, including keeping asset registers up to date.RequirementsBachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, software engineering, or a related field.A+ and N+, MCDST, MCSE, MCP certifications beneficial.Proven experience managing IT infrastructure and services.Experience with computer networks, network administration, and network installation.Proficient in computer hardware, cabling installation and support, wireless technology applications and interface, network maintenance, and IT security.Proficient in Microsoft Windows OS software, including file server, office, SharePoint, MS Teams, and Exchange.Creating, managing, and implementing MS Teams and SharePoint Online Directories.Apple OS and iOS knowledge beneficial.Experience as an end-user support.Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.Highly organized and detail-oriented.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Passion for cutting-edge technology and its use in security.Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
