IT Operations Manager Opportunity! Join M&Gs IT (Information Technology) Team where you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the IT operations function for a rapidly evolving company.The IT Operations Manager will under general direction manage team members within the IT Operations Team and is responsible for managing M&G's IT systems and IT operational activities.Key ResponsibilitiesIncludes but not limited to the following:Ensures reliable day-to-day operations of technology infrastructure and application landscape, including data centre (on-prem, cloud and hybrid), networks, servers, endpoints, operational/client facing applications and services; troubleshoot and remediate issues that arisePartner with M&G's Information Security team to implement and operationalize security controlsInput into annual IT budgets, review monthly spend and procure IT equipment and professional services in accordance with M&G's Procurement and Contracting PolicyManage IT vendors, contracts and service level agreementsIdentify and manage operational risks within the departmentAlign all operational activities to the M&G Group Governance FrameworkResponsible for managing the Application Support and Infrastructure teamsConfers with and advises subordinates on administrative policies and procedures, technical problems, priorities and methodsResponsible for the overall management of all the functions within the IT operations environmentPrepares and reviews service levels and KPI reports against defined metricsBenchmarks, analyse, reports and makes recommendations for the improvement and capacity planning of the IT infrastructure and applications landscapeManages the lifecycle of IT Infrastructure and application components from their investigative and implementation stages through to their decommissioning stagesDesigns, implements, supports, updates and tests disaster recovery and business continuity plansAttributes Qualifications, Skills & ExperienceBachelor's or higher qualification in Computer Science or equivalent.7+ years IT Infrastructure, IT Management, or IT Business Operations experience for an Asset Manager.Experience in building relationships and working with a geographically dispersed third party vendors, including local and offshore entitiesExperience in managing and monitoring cloud and SaaS platformsStrong technical knowledge of network and server operating systemStrong planning and resourcing skillsAgile and Scrum leadershipStrong technical troubleshooting skillsAbility to multitask and prioritize tasksAbility to communicate information to a non-technical audienceApplication form I would like to apply for this position I would like to present candidates for this position Please noteIn order to upload your CV, please complete the form below.
