MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB The role of IT Developer - Applications is responsible for the development and coding of business applications. This also includes the modification of complex websites, web based Business and Mobile applications (Apps) and Information and Interactive Portals (staff and clients) in order to support the organizational strategies and goals relative to internal and external communications The developer would also be responsible for code optimization management, code contention management and source control version management. To use applicable technologies to integrate systems, digitize business tools and automate business processes in order to consistently deliver business value. Key Performance Areas: Websites, Applications, and Portal Development System Integration and Digitization of Business Tools Reactive Applications Maintenance Business Analysis and Systems Architecture & Design Application Monitoring (e.g., SharePoint, MSSQL, SAP) Preferred Minimum Education and Experience Minimum Qualifications: National Diploma in IT or equivalent Minimum Experience: 3 - 5 years extensive working experience in the development and maintenance of websites, apps and web portals. 3 - 5 Years extensive working experience in the development system interfaces, digitization of business tools and automation business processes 3 - 5 Years practical experience of SharePoint environment (includes metadata, sites, surveys etc., SharePoint Governance and Information Architecture 3 - 5 Years experience of business analysis and design 3 - 5 Years SharePoint Server and Database Administration knowledge Critical Competencies: Microsoft Office SharePoint Server Visual Studio .NET 2005 - 2008 Microsoft Office Applications ASP.Net, HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, C# or JavaScript .NET Framework ETL Tools Additional Requirements: Appropriate solution definition and problem solving knowledge Sound working knowledge of ITIL Professional standards-based web development using ASP.Net, HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, and JavaScript Experience using Visual Studio
