Duties & ResponsibilitiesJob Summary:The IT and Facilities Administrator holds a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of the support system within the Staff Domain and its various offices. Primarily tasked with overseeing Information Technology (IT) and Facilities Management, this individual ensures that all issues and incidents are promptly logged into a ticketing system for reassignment and resolution.Moreover, the Lead Administrator assumes responsibility for the maintenance of the IT infrastructure, ensuring that all issues are identified, recorded, and addressed promptly to prevent disruptions.Additionally, the Administrator serves as the primary liaison for client IT inquiries, ensuring clear communication and delineation of responsibilities between Staff Domain's offerings and client-provided services.The role also encompasses oversight of all sites, ensuring proper maintenance and upkeep of facilities and resources to uphold standards of organization and efficiency.Key Responsibilities:1. Assist with IT Infrastructure Management:Support the maintenance and functionality of IT infrastructure, including assisting with network setups, server configurations, and workstation support.Aid in ensuring the security and integrity of IT systems by assisting with data backups, antivirus updates, and firewall configurations.Assist with troubleshooting technical issues reported by staff members and escalating complex problems as needed.2. Support Software and Hardware Management:Assist with software installations, updates, and basic configurations.Help manage hardware inventory by assisting with procurement, deployment, and disposal tasks.Support coordination of repairs and maintenance for IT equipment under supervision.3. Provide User Support:Assist staff members with basic technical support for software, hardware, and network-related issues.Learn and help with the setup of user accounts, permissions, and access controls.Participate in training sessions to learn and develop IT support skills.4. Support Facilities Management:Assist with routine facilities maintenance tasks, including cleaning, organizing workspaces, and minor repairs.Learn and adhere to health and safety regulations in the workplace.Aid in coordinating repairs and maintenance for office equipment and utilities as directed.5. Assist with Vendor Management:Support communication with external vendors for IT services, equipment purchases, and facility maintenance.Learn to evaluate vendor performance and assist with contract negotiations.6. Documentation and Reporting Support:Assist with maintaining accurate records of IT assets, software licenses, and facilities-related documentation.Learn to generate reports on IT performance, facility usage, and maintenance activities under supervision.7. Compliance and Security Support:Learn and adhere to relevant regulations and standards for IT security and facilities management.Assist with implementing security measures and protocols to protect sensitive data and information.8. Education and Experience:Associate degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Facilities Management, or related field.1-2 years of experience in a technical support role, facilities assistant position, or relevant internship experience.2. Technical Skills:Basic understanding of IT infrastructure components such as networks, servers, and workstations.Familiarity with software installation, troubleshooting, and updates.Ability to assist with hardware procurement, deployment, and maintenance tasks.Basic knowledge of security protocols and data backup procedures.3. Facilities Management Skills:Experience assisting with facilities maintenance tasks, including office space organization and equipment upkeep.Awareness of health and safety regulations in the workplace.Ability to support coordination of repairs, maintenance, and emergency response activities.4. Communication and Collaboration:Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with team members and end-users.Willingness to learn and assist with providing training and support to staff members on IT systems and procedures.5.
