Ioco | Project Manager: Compliance, Legal & Risk

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to work closely with Compliance, Legal, and Risk teams to oversee the selection, configuration, testing, and deployment of critical systems. This role will ensure these systems are seamlessly integrated with existing processes, managing risks, budgets, and timelines in adherence to established governance frameworks. The ideal candidate will have experience delivering technology projects focused on compliance, such as AML/KYC, client onboarding, and monitoring tools.This is a 6 month contract position, and is a hybrid based in Cape Town.What you "!ll do: Manage the full project lifecycle, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with governance frameworks..Identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle. Manage project budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation and timely delivery within financial constraints.Work closely with legal, compliance, risk, and IT teams to ensure effective communication and alignment across all stakeholders.Ensure that all project activities comply with relevant governance frameworks, legal requirements, and industry regulations. Maintain a deep understanding of compliance tools, regulatory changes, and governance practices.Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including system configurations, testing results, risk assessments, and compliance reports.Lead the process of selecting, configuring, testing, and deploying compliance, legal, and risk management systems.Your expertise: Proven track record of delivering technology projects in the compliance, legal, or risk management space, particularly in areas such as AML/KYC, client onboarding, or monitoring tools.Strong understanding of relevant regulatory requirements and governance frameworks.Experience managing projects involving Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) platforms is a significant plus.Demonstrated success in managing cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve project goals.Solid background in budgeting, risk management, and timelines within complex, regulated environments.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate challenges in compliance-driven projects.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Qualifications required:Grade 12 certificate or equivalentRelevant Project Management diploma, degree or certification advantageous
