Job category: Others: Transport and LogisticsLocation: DurbanContract: PermanentRemuneration: Market RelatedEE position: YesIntroductionA position has become available for an Inventory Controller (Perishables) to join our dynamic team.To monitor, control and manage all inventory disciplines, whilst ensuring effective shrinkage control as per SPAR BOP's.KEY PERFORMANCE AREASLead and manage the department on a daily basis.Compile and analyse daily inventory reports.Ensure cancel lines and picking exception targets are achieved.Manage stock rotation and liaise with Marketing on stock items about to expire.Manage and monitor shrinkage by conducting stock checks.Investigate lost and misallocated stock.Ensure that damages are removed and adjusted timeously on the computer system.Assist with SAP system QA testing for developments relating to Operations.Manage putaways, replenishments and full pallet picks/letdowns.Drive SAP system hygiene and clear all virtual bins.Monitor and resolve qRFC queues on the EWM system.Ensure that all product items on EWM Master data are maintained.Assist in all Inbound functions as and when required.Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and ensure adherence to safety protocols.Conduct daily team meetings and manage staff performance through ROI.Conduct grievance and disciplinary procedures when required.Facilitate team development through the TNA process.Manage staff attendance and absenteeism.Process staff timecards on the computer system.Minimum Requirements:Matric certificate.Tertiary qualification in Logistics/Supply Chain advantageous.Knowledge of Warehouse Systems essential.Computer literacy and SAP (ERP and EWM) knowledge essential.Ability to function effectively within a team environment.Willingness to work overtime, and flexibility when required.Accuracy and attention to details.Self-starter and ability to work under pressure.Must be methodical, pro-active and accurate.Sound leadership skills.Kindly note: All applications are to be submitted through the Careers Site and Pnet.
